Terms of Service

1. Scope & B2B Usage

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Licencify software platform and local gateway containers. Licencify is provided exclusively to businesses, corporations, and independent consulting firms (B2B). Consumer protection regulations do not apply.

2. Local Gateway & Read-Only Scans

Licencify grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run our containerized local gateway collector inside your database subnets.

• You agree to deploy the gateway strictly using read-only database credentials.
• You must not decompile, reverse engineer, or extract binary signatures from the Gateway software.
• You are responsible for ensuring that database query execution complies with your internal network governance.

3. Accuracy of Compliance Calculations

Licencify calculations represent independent contract interpretations and compliance reports. While built to reflect current licensing rules and cluster allocation precedents, the output does not constitute binding legal representation. Final contractual determinations remain with the respective database vendor.

4. Limitation of Liability

Licencify i.G. is not liable for software licensing penalties, audit disputes, or operational server adjustments stemming from scanning recommendations. Liability is capped at the total amount paid by your organization for the Licencify service subscription during the preceding 12 months.

5. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Vienna, Austria.
